Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize is delighted to announce that the Lady Petchey Sculpture Prize for women sculptors continues as part of The Holly Bush Painting Prize Awards. Generously sponsored by Lady Petchey, aka Frances Segelman, herself a sculptor. https://www.segelman.com

I am delighted to sponsor the Lady Petchey Sculptor Prize, recognising the achievements of women in sculpture. As a self taught sculptor I know just how challenging it can be to succeed, and I hope this prize will encourage and inspire the next generation of women sculptors. - Lady Petchey

The support of Lady Petchey is a real bonus for our women’s art prize. Lady Petchey, or Frances Segelman as she is known in the art world, is a renowned sculptor who has modelled the features of a stella cast list including the Royal Family. Lady Petchey and her husband Sir Jack, share a true spirit of generosity and support numerous charities as well as heading the Jack Petchey Foundation.

With the addition of the Lady Petchey Sculpture Prize, the Holly Bush Prize strengthens its impact on the campaign to gain greater recognition for women artists.

Entries to the Sculpture Prize will open on the 1st February. The entry fee is £18 for up to 2 works deadline for entries is 1st May.

Please note that the winner for the sculpture prize may only be exhibited at the Private View of the Prize due to conditions at Lauderdale House (this is also dependent on size and weight as the gallery does not have plinths).  However, Women in Art CIC are intending to host an exhibition for the shortlisted sculptors and the winners of 2021 and 2022 sometime in the next 12 months.
